About us
Wong Herbal Apothecary is rooted in four generations of traditional Chinese herbal practice. My father inherited an herbal shop in Saigon from his father, who inherited it from his father before him. After the fall of Saigon, my parents came to the United States and started over from nothing. Years later, they opened their own herbal storefront, rebuilding what they had carried with them across an ocean.
I grew up with that tradition in the background and it was always present. It wasn't until a difficult season of my own that I truly understood what it meant. My mom sent me a care package with our family's herbal soup blend, something I hadn't had in years. One bowl was enough to remind me that this tradition was worth sharing.
Wong Herbal Apothecary is my way of carrying it forward. Small batches, traditional recipes, and the same care that has gone into every blend for generations.
